Re: Deputy Paul Schene Beats 15 Yo Girl in Holding Cell
This cop should should have been fired, and charged with assault, and found guilty through the evidence shown in the video. To anyone who argues that the cop was justified, i think you are a complete and total idiot. There wasn't enough force behind that shoe to even swat a fly, much less a 6'2" 195lb man wearing body armor. There was no threat of injury. It is clear to me and other reasonable people that this officer snapped into a temper tantrum, plain and simple. Police officers should be held to a higher standard than the 15 year old girl who is also shown in the video. If they cannot control their temper, they are not qualified to be a cop. We all have to realize that incidents like this fuel a GROWING resentment of ALL police. In 20-30 years the number of people who have no respect for police will reach crisis levels. Then what? Martial law? Anarchy? Social collapse? Good cops have a DUTY to speak out against those cops who are abusing their authority. And not speaking out against it, makes them just as bad, if not worse, than the criminals they arrest.

Re: Deputy Paul Schene Beats 15 Yo Girl in Holding Cell
When I did something like that growing up I couldn't sit down for a week. Never did it again and never thought my parents were wrong for the meting out some justice on me. That's the problem with kids today. They've been given "time out," "no internet for a week," and have been hugged when they've done wrong. They rarely get discipline anymore. I say we bring back some corporal punishment. You don't see Chinese kids getting unruly or mouthing off like these little punks today. That being said...The cop went too far. |

The cop ought to be sent to prison for the rest of his life. |
