Deontrae Green Shot Tyriek Corbin Inside a Lake Ronkonkoma IHOP, March 2019
Deontrae Green shot Tyriek Corbin inside the IHOP at 339 Portion Road in Lake Ronkonkoma, New York, at about 1:20 p.m. on March 4, 2019. As two men approached a table, Green fired five shots. Corbin was hit once and stumbled into a baby's high chair as he fled. The infant was unharmed, and none of the 23 other patrons in the restaurant was injured. Corbin was taken to a hospital in a private vehicle and treated for a non-life-threatening wound. Police attributed the shooting to a dispute between rival sets of the Bloods. Green, 19, was arrested and later indicted. On January 13, 2020, he pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, first-degree criminal use of a firearm, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree reckless endangerment. He was sentenced in February 2020 to 15 years in prison followed by five years of post-release supervision. |

A surveillance camera captured a shooting that occurred inside a Long Island IHOP Monday afternoon. A video of the shooting at the restaurant on Portion Road in Lake Ronkonkoma was shared on Facebook Wednesday evening. In it, two men can be seen approaching a table when a man at the table fires multiple shots at them. The man who was struck by gunfire, who police later identified as 20-year-old Tyriek Corbin, falls into a baby in a highchair as he attempts to flee the restaurant. The shooter, who police say was 19-year-old Deontrae Green, also flees the scene. Police quickly located and arrested Green. Corbin was later located at Stony Brook University Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Police believe the shooting was the result of an internal dispute between members of the Bloods gang.  ·  · |
