At 10:00 p.m., Dec 10 a shootout took place outside a liquor store in Viche. Three men armed with rifles attacked those present, killing 2 people and wounding two others. According to Lieutenant Colonel Diego Velastegui, the police chief of Quinindé, Equador this crime is related. He says that according to preliminary information, the murder of the two men was retaliation for the death of a fire chief. During the afternoon of Sunday, December 10, a crime occurred against Sergeant Carlos Bravo Ganchozo, head of the parish Fire Department. He was shot and killed while driving his vehicle. According to police reports, Bravo had received extortion threats a few months ago. |
