An attempt by 3 armed robbers to hide their identity was thwarted when a dashboard camera, in the stolen car they fled in, recorded their escape.

Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office investigators are trying to find the men, who are accused of robbing another man at gunpoint outside of a business in Lockport at around 11:30 a.m. Monday (Feb. 2). Authorities said the men wore masks during the robbery.

The robbery occurred at Breaux's Hide-Away, a small bar on Lafourche Street.

The men tied up the bartender and the one patron inside, and used a stun gun to shock a man refilling the bar's ATM.

They fled in the man's car - a 2013 Ford Taurus with a video system installed on the dashboard.

The video shows the men, their masks removed, before they abandoned the car.

wonder what the purpose of the camera is? i cant imagine thinking the odds of your car being stolen are so high that you want a secret camera mounted, in the slim chance you ever recover your car....? strange

It wasn't that long ago that it was considered unnecessary and paranoid to have an outward facing dash cam too.

This is a reflection of 'modern life'.

It's funny because the driver looked right at it and had the look of "is that a camera" on his face.
