A Canadian robber got a face full of bear spray and then a spanking on his naked butt after he tried to rob a convenience store in Gatineau, Quebec.

Zhen Yang was closing up shop around 10:30 p.m. when two men entered the store carrying knives and demanding money.

The shop owner grabs a can of bear spray and gave both would-be robbers a blast in the face.

“I need to find something to defend myself, I cannot use my pencil, right?” Yang recalled.

One of the suspects fled the scene as Yang grabbed the second man by the seat of his pants. While trying to escape over the checkout counter the robber’s pants slid off, exposing his buttocks and giving Yang the opportunity to give him a repeated closed-fist spanking.

Yang’s wife, Bi Liang, joined in by delivering a few kicks to the criminal’s backside as he hung from the counter. She said that this wasn’t the first time the store had been robbed.

“I hate all robbers,” Liang explained. “We did the right thing. You come in first to rob my store then to kill my husband, I try to protect myself and my family.”

Both suspects were eventually arrested on charges of robbery, wearing a disguise and possession of a concealed weapon. Yang and Liang have not been charged.

well a funny fact here in holland: if you ''defend'' youreself, and do stuff like that! ull be charged.. better example is: few weeks ago some1 broke into a house, home owner caught him, and got charged with kidnapping because he held him untill police arrived.. so never come to the netherlands :P
