One of the four criminals who went viral after being filmed stealing a motorcycle was killed by officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (DICRIM) of the National Police in the Dominican Republic.

The robbery occurred last Monday afternoon in the Manoguayabo sector of Santo Domingo Oeste, when four men intercepted a young man and stole his motorcycle and other belongings. Images of the robbery were widely shared on social media.

Hours later, during an operation in the municipality of Villa Altagracia, officers arrested one of the suspects, identified as Jhon Deivy, alias "El Gato" or "Ojo Verde," who had recently been released from prison after serving a sentence for similar crimes.

According to the police report, Jhon Deivy allegedly confronted the officers with a firearm when he was located, prompting the exchange that resulted in his death. Authorities continue to track down the other suspects.
