Brazil, A 24-year-old man, possibly caused by drug use, was shot after attacking military police officers, a woman and two children, with a machete, last Tuesday.

According to the General Military Police, the man was naked and armed with a machete, walking on roofs and yelling unknown words when the military arrived at the scene.

Witnesses reported he had broken into the backyard of a home, where a woman and two children, aged 4 and 6-year-olds were.

During the approach, the military tried to contain him using pepper spray, but the man reacted, breaking glass and forcing doors into the house.

Even after several orders to drop his gun, he advanced against the officers and the woman.

The military police reacted and shot the attacker in the legs. Still injured, the man continued to act violently and had to be restrained.

He was rushed to the Regional Hospital, where he remains hospitalized without anticipating discharge.

According to the PM, the suspect has an open arrest warrant issued by Justice. The weapon used in the incident was seized and the case is still under investigation by the Civil Police.

They should have shot him sooner and well before he entered the house. Those poor folks are going to suffer PTSD for a while after this experience.
