Cops Trying to Bully a Public Defender
This is what happens when a white, empowered lawyer happens upon San Francisco Police officers aggressively piling onto a poor black man, then peacefully begins to record what he sees. Imagine how the police treat people who don't know their rights or aren't white.

Why inject race into it? Its not anybodies fault but their own if they dont know the laws. Its hard to draw conclusions from this video on what happened when they didnt get the beginning of the altercation on video. Maybe the guy deserved to be pummeled, who knows? The predominantly black inner cities are some of the most dangerous places in the country, god forbid the people in charge of patrolling these areas take some precaution. |

The issue is not police brutality its harassment of a citizen filming. The guy on the ground might have deserved it but what did the lawyer do to deserve being detained. And race relates to the fact the man was white and knows the law. Yet if a person of color were to find themselves being harrassed they might not know thye dont have to give up thier phone or cannot be deteined without reason and may have stood there and let them take the phone. But with that being said it could have just as easily been a black lawyer filming and who knows the law. Agreed know the LAW

Why don't they have body cams or look at cameras the businesses may have and not deal with this dude? Plus this guys video may not have been of the full encounter.
