Re: Cops Fatally Shooting a 17 Year Old Girl In Police Station
This was very obviously suicide by cop, especially considering the confirmed previous mental issues and attempts at her life. I do agree that anyone coming at anyone with a butcher knife is a life threatening situation that requires self defence...however...the officer could've and should've cuffed her after he had her subdued on the floor. Why wouldn't you cuff some one that has "I have a gun" written on their hand and is fighting you? Also, the other officers could've tased her, I understand it was a quick situation, but they had their gun ready didn't they? These were not random people she came at with a knife. They were officers. They are supposed to be the peace keepers, they hold a power unlike any other citizen to make life threatening decisions and have "the people" be behind them on it. They trained for situations like this, and they above anyone else, would have the means and quick decision making capabilities necessary to deal with the vast array of random crap that is potentially waiting for them at the address of each 911 call. They had the power and tools to stop her in a way that did not take her life, which should have been obvious to them, that she was attempting suicide by police. They of course could not have possibly known her history at that moment, but everyone has a motive for doing stuff, and they should've been able to deduce hers was not money, drugs or fame. I feel they could've subdued her humanely with all involved keeping their lives, and that she may have grown out of, or gotten effective help for, her mental illness..and may potentially have lived a semblance of a normal life. But will not now, because the people we charge with keeping us safe from everything, including ourselves, could not do their jobs. Do you really think in the heat of the moment they were concerned with preserving her life, or theirs? They weren't willing to be stabbed, but they were willing to kill. |

Re: Cops Fatally Shooting a 17 Year Old Girl In Police Station
I found an extended version of this, sorry I can't seem to attach images or videos, every time I try everything I upload or attach plus my texts gets erased and it says my message is too short. But what I saw in the longer video is that after the EMS arrives they start doing CPR or her for a good three minutes, load her onto the gurney and then continue to do more CPR. Why would they do cpr on a dead girl that's been laying on the floor for over seven minutes before they arrived? |

Re: Cops Fatally Shooting a 17 Year Old Girl In Police Station
surprisingly I have a hard time finding sympathy for someone who pretends to have a gun and then attempts to wield a butcher knife in a police station. are you fucking stupid or something? she wanted to die that night
