Brazil, A black Citroën C3 was spotted leaving Foz do Iguaçu with two armed persons inside. Two cops in their squad car waited on the banks of the BR-277 highway.

At about 3:30 am, the team spotted the vehicle stopping to refuel at a gas station, so the team came forward and got out of the vehicle and one of the cops went in front of the vehicle demanding for the driver to descend the car so a personal search could be made and an inspection of the car but the driver did not get out and just waited for the policeman to come closer and fired several times at him through the windshield.

When the first shots were fired that hit the policeman, he fell and asked his partner to leave the shooting zone, and even when he was down he made some shots, unfortunately he lacked strength and fell, where the bandit drove away and ran over the policeman's arm.

The other cop also fired shots at the bandit while he drove away from the scene.

Another police team that were already in search of the C3, came along the road, when they heard the shots and saw the vehicle leaving the station and going to the BR-277, highway. Then they saw the fallen policeman and saw that the other policeman was fine and could ask for support.

They left and did a tactical follow-up, as the bandit, after firing the shots, left quite calmly as if nothing had happened. The police car switched off their flashing lights and didn't even activate the siren, until the arrival of the other teams to carry out the pursuit.

When they almost arrived at the PRF Inspection Post, it was at that moment that the policemen turned on the flashing lights and activated the siren for the policemen of the PRF to help to approach the vehicle.

A PRF police officer came out and activated the tire breakers, the bandit did not stop the tires blew and continued the escape, in that time he had to move away a little, because the vehicle had to wait to get down the tire breaker, the bandit turned off the car lights because this part of the PRF is all dark, but the police turned on the high light and the license plate of the c3 car flashed, the vehicle that was in the lower part of the BR next to the fishing pay forest, when the police went to approach the vehicle the bandit went off firing and ran to the forest that is on the side of BR-277.

At this moment more police teams arrived entering the forest where the thug making some shots, but ended up dying during the confrontation.

The cop that was shot at down at the gas station is in stable health. He was shot three times in the face, shoulder and abdomen, he has had surgery and soon, he will be discharged and go home.

I'm guessing someone called the cops on them, or they had been following them prior to this. Clearly not innocent nobodies.
