Netherlands, A knife wielding man threatened employees of a car dealership. Police tried to stop the suspect with pepper spray but were unable to do so. How do you mean it this protocol? i think you mean shoot someone in the leg instead of head? The police here always try to shoot at the legs when someone comes at them with a knife or hammer bat enz enz.

When he walks past i hear someone say "whats wrong" and then someone says to him i told you not to stand over there. i think he got hit with some glass in the face because the police shot at it. |

It's illegal to shoot to wound in the U.S., partially because we live in such a sue-happy society, that if the femoral artery was cut and the suspect bleeds out, police are afraid of being sued by the family.
