Cop Repeatedly Shoots at Guy That Keeps Standing Up Before Cop Falls
The Special Investigations Unit has been called in to investigate an officer-involved shooting in a Kitchener parking lot on Wednesday evening. Waterloo regional police were called to the area of Ottawa Street and Strasburg Road around 6:50 p.m. for reports of a man in distress. Officials said when they arrived, the man reportedly drove his vehicle at a police cruiser and got out of the vehicle, threatening an officer with a weapon. "As a result of the incident, the officer discharged the firearm," Ashley Dietrich with Waterloo regional police said. The SIU is investigating the circumstances around the incident. Officials said the man was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Three investigators and two forensic investigators from the SIU were assigned to the case. One witness, who did not want to be identified, said they saw an officer run away from a man while shooting at him multiple times. The witness said the officer then tripped to the ground and dropped his gun before other officers moved in and surrounded the man. Pam Schell, who also witnessed the incident, said she heard five gunshots then saw a man on the ground covered in blood. "There was definitely blood, so somebody was hurt," she said. "And there wasn't a little bit of blood, there was a lot." Schell said watching the scene unfold was surreal. "We saw one officer comforting another officer. He turns around, pats him on the back, gives him a bit of a squeeze," she said. "I think he was kind of shook up for what he's just gone through too." The SIUOntario has invoked its mandate after an officer discharged his firearm during a call for service in Kitchener. |

That guy should have been down after the first hit. Didn't look too imposing or armored up. High maybe? He is the best-dressed PCP user I've seen to date. Perhaps the cop just had bad aim? Plausible. |

It looked like he was shooting low. As if he was aiming for his legs to try and wound him rather than kill. Just basing that on the impacts on the concrete close behind the guy. But Fuck that. Should’ve lit his dumbass up till he stopped moving.

Re: Cop Repeatedly Shoots at Guy That Keeps Standing Up Before Cop Falls
A cop that aims for the legs or shoots warning shots is a bad, inept cop. If the violent offender survives, the cop can be sued for maiming or crippling. If a cop fires his weapon, it should always be center-mass, intending to kill. I believe they're trained to do this at most police academies, at least in America. However, I think something should be done about the department issue weapons in some of these more backward counties. Either weapons with greater stopping power or with semi-auto function with extended magazines that can pump 20 bullets into a perp in literally under a second to stop even the most adrenaline-fueled nutbag in his tracks and to keep up with what criminal scum typically use these days. That was too close |

I’m pretty sure the pistol he’s using is semi-auto. This guy needed some 00 buck or a 1oz slug. That’ll put him down in one for sure.
