I've said it before and I'll say it again. Any job where there is power, or you get to work with vulnerable people, you will get the cunts going for those jobs for the power or to abuse people. There should be better vetting for those personality traits when people apply for those jobs.

Why the fuck all the hooplah about recording? Why can't you just say to the driver, "Sir, you may have picked up someone from a suspected drug-house. You may keep recording, but we request to search your car." If there is a refusal then, any sane cop will ask for license and registration. Refusal then with a lawful request will only make it worse for the driver.

Idiot, power-hungry cops just make all cops look bad... but I fear it's a growing proportion of idiot cops that exist on the force. Just as well the police chief was willing to make the appropriate statement on the matter... probably because he knew better than to tangle with a lawyer.

ive had the same thing kinda happen to me before. Im for the police but for sure when the K9 officer is walking around with the dogs 1 single toy in his hand, the K9 goes above and beyond looking for the "stash" so it can get its one toy that it has. Thats why the police dog ALWAYS is detecting something when it comes out. Had my car searched in two different states for simply window tint, i refused search, K9 came out and both times the dog "alerted" to narcotics and both times the handler had the dogs toy in his hand. Ive had my car since it was new, no dope has ever been in my car and none has ever been found. Just a little personal experience.
