Carolina Cop Bumps and Kills Biker

A deputy has been suspended after a motorcyclist was killed during a chase, in which the law enforcer twice crashed into the bike, sending the rider to his death.

Dashcam footage from the deputy's car shows the vehicle strike the motorcycle, which was being driven by Robert Lee Clark, Jr.

The 30-year-old died at the scene of the collision in Berkeley County in South Carolina.

Deputy James Vansant's cruiser was travelling at speeds of around 90mph before the crash, and the sheriff's office has said Mr Clark died because the bike was in the wrong gear, RT reports.

A five-minute video of the chase, posted by the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, shows the motorbike speeding away from Vansant's SUV.

Bosses say the collision was not deliberate, and the motorcyclist can be seen braking before the crash.

Clark, who was wanted for speeding, was not wearing a helmet when he crashed, it has emerged.

Swerving into oncoming lane, speeding, crossing white lines, no helmet. If you ride like an easy rider wannabee you'll die like one. Wonder if he was intoxicated or just randomly stupid.

why is the cop all up in his ass for....you are supposed to keep distance especially with motorbikes. looks to me like the cop wanted that opportunity to take him out whether intentionally or not.

yeah. you dont pit maneuver motorcycles. This cop knew better, was wanting to stop the chase. You can see the bike rider grabbing the throttle when the cop hits his back tire killing him.
