A group pushed a small green car down a staircase at Clemenceau metro station in Anderlecht, Brussels, on the night of December 31, 2015, into January 1, 2016. The car landed overturned on the platform. Nobody was injured.

The incident was recorded on a phone, and the video spread widely online and received media coverage in several European countries. Police arrested one young man based on the footage and later released him. The Brussels prosecutor subsequently dismissed the case because the investigation had not allowed authorities to identify one or more of those responsible. No one was charged. The dismissal was provisional and could be reopened within 10 years. Anderlecht's mayor called for sanctions and later said he was surprised by the decision to dismiss the case.
