LANCASTER, (June 7, 2025) — A robbery suspect was fatally shot and a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy critically wounded during a confrontation Saturday evening in Lancaster.

According to LASD, deputies responded to an armed robbery near the 1200 block of Meadow View Avenue. They later located the suspect, Erick Berrios, in the 1000 block of Avenue J12.

The department claims Berrios produced a firearm and opened fire on deputies. One deputy was struck and rushed to the hospital in critical but stable condition.

They wouldn’t have been beating him if he was cooperating with the officers and he wouldn’t be lying there dead if he hadn’t shot one of them.

1.) the officer's name was probably not pronounced "choppy" like this dumb woman thinks it is.
2.) once the shooting happened of course she only cared about, "Giovanni" and not any of the officers. Bias POS.

The family, neighbors and "eye witnesses" have formally accused the LASD of excessive force and demand the involved deputies be fired and prosecuted for murder. They all claim that the suspect was un-armed and a victim of racial profiling/harassment. They accuse the deputies of over-reacting to the sound of the Taser and shooting each other.
