CALIFORNIA: Deputies Seen Kneeing, Punching Suspect in Head

Gangster ex-con clearly wanted an ass whoopin and got it...

HESPERIA, (March 27, 2024) — A man whose violent video-recorded arrest in Hesperia sparked outrage across Southern California earlier this week pleaded not guilty to a series of charges Friday in San Bernardino County Superior Court, records show.

Christian Cardenas Alonso, 33, of Adelanto, pleaded not guilty to charges of robbery, kidnapping, resisting police, being a felon in possession of a firearm and being a felon in possession of ammunition, along with additional "street terrorism" enhancements related to alleged gang participation, according to booking records.

He was arrested just before 5 p.m. Tuesday along Main Street, near Avenue E, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Investigators had been seeking him in connection with an armed robbery that they say took place on Sunday in the 16000 block of Main Street.

A video recording of the arrest posted on Instagram showed four deputies striking and kneeing Alonso while trying to wrestle him into handcuffs.

One deputy can be seen delivering repeated knee strikes to Alonso's head, prompting a witness to yell at the deputies, "Oh hell no... You fucked him up, already."

Sheriff's officials described Alonso in a written statement as "convicted felon and an active criminal street gang member." Property belonging to the victim of Sunday's alleged robbery was recovered from the trunk of Alonso's car, sheriff's officials said.

A gun, ammunition and gang-related paraphernalia were found during a search of Alonso's business, authorities added.

The deputy seen delivering the knee strikes was placed on leave amid an investigation, Sheriff Shannon Dicus said.

I'm pro law enforcement, but that was fucked up. 3 officers clearly have him pinned down and one providing knees to the face.. They just gave this guy a lawsuit that will allow him nice financial settlement set him up for life..

Yeah he's is a piece of criminal shit, but they gave him a golden ticket by doing that

Yay another law suit that will increase my taxes.

Hold cops financially responsible for lawsuits and police brutality will disappear overnight. Or make them have insurance like doctors.

Thankfully, our taxes don't go up every time the gov't cuts a check to some a-hole who fights with cops.

Officers have always been held financially and criminally responsible for dumbass moves or abuse outside the scope of their duties. It hasn't stopped or prevented decent cops from having a regretful dumbass moment.

Some cops do purchase their own insurance for law enforcement in case of false arrest or other accusations of malpractice. Essentially to keep them from losing their homes, pensions, and life savings over an error in judgement.

Never jump to conclusions based on first video. There may be something else going on that can't be seen, (ex. George Floyd). This cop may have been taking perfectly reasonable action under yet to be revealed extenuating circumstances.

This will be interesting to see play out.

Re: CALIFORNIA: Deputies Seen Kneeing, Punching Suspect in Head

None of what you said is true. Lmao.

I know in California California law protects police from being sued for any harm that happens during a prosecution process — even if the officer acted “maliciously and without probable cause.”

Officers cast tax payers billions in lawsuit settlements and most end up staying on the job in some capacity. Those settlements come from taxes. There is no arguing that, meaning when taxes are raised to get funds for projects it is because funds were used for other things like settlements.

You can smoke cop pole all day, but denying the impact lawsuits have on city funds is insane.
