Calculating Couple Captured on CCTV Stealing a Pet Cat

A well-loved cat goes to be stroked by a couple of strangers - who then pick him up, check for witnesses and calmly abduct him. The callous crime was caught on CCTV last Friday afternoon in York and ten year-old Busby has not been seen since. His distressed owner, Chris Howson, 39, a divorced accountant, said: "It's chilling to watch. Busby is a really friendly, loving cat and you can tell he happily goes over to the couple and lets them stroke him. You can see them looking around - they know they are doing something wrong." The man seen taking Busby is in his early 20s, over 6ft tall, slim, white, and was wearing black jeans with a white motif on back pockets and a blue jacket. The woman with him is a similar age, 5ft 5ins to to 5ft 6ins, white and wearing
grey leggings and boots.

A cat has been reunited with his owner after an appeal that saw CCTV of the moment he was ‘cat-napped’ made public.

Busby has been returned to York resident Chris Howson, who claims he was stolen by a man and woman at Springfield Court in Holgate, last week.

Images showed the couple petting Busby before looking around and walking off with the ten-year-old.

The animal has since been returned to Mr Howson, and he said the man who brought him back had told him he thought the cat was abandoned.

‘He told me he didn’t think he had a home,’.
‘I don’t believe him but I didn’t really want to stand around and have a chat, I wanted to get him home.

This is horrible, I have a ragdoll, friendliest and most loving little dude ever. I fear about people who would do this to cats that are as friendly as he is... Good to hear the owner got him home, and fuck those 2 wankers. Probably in fear of all their friends saying "wait a minute

" when they saw the news... How hard is it to get a new kitten?
