The accused, Govind, was a cable technician, who often visited the woman’s home for work. Finding the woman alone in the house, Govind, took advantage of the situation and made an attempt to steal her gold chain.

A video of the incident was captured on CCTV camera and it showed the accused wrapping a towel around the 67-year-old woman’s neck while she was seated on the sofa. He then tries to strangle her in an alleged attempt to kill.
