"A man identified as J.M.d.S, 40, was shot after being kidnapped and undergoing a series of torture on Monday night (3). The crime took place around 8:10 pm on Rua Belém, in the Nossa Senhora das Graças neighborhood, in the south-central part of the capital.

According to information provided by the military police officers of the 22nd Interactive Community Company (Cicom), who attended the event, the attempted murder was recorded by security cameras. A woman appears in the images shooting J.M.d.S.

The Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) was called by people who saw the victim asking for help. The medical team carried out the first consultations and referred him to the 28 de Agosto Hospital and Emergency Room, in the central-south zone.

According to the police, it was found that the attempted murder was motivated by the victim's debt to drug trafficking with criminals in the Praça 14 neighborhood. The Civil Police are investigating the authorship of the attempted murder. His health status was not reported."
