Boston Offroad Arrests
BOSTON — Massachusetts State Police released the names of the seven people arrested Saturday night after dozens of off-road bikes, motorcycles and ATVs were caught on camera driving recklessly. Police said between 25 and 35 individuals were riding off-road bikes, motorcycles, and ATVs erratic and dangerously down the southbound side of Interstate 93 around 5 p.m. Saturday One of the dirt bikers, identified as 28-year-old Aderito Monteiro of Randolph, was shot in the foot after state police said he drove his ATV toward a trooper on the Mass. Ave exit ramp. Monteiro was treated for minor injuries before being charged with negligent operation, failure to stop for police, disorderly conduct and driving an unregistered and uninsured ATV. He was held on $10,000 bail and scheduled to appear in Boston court Monday. Police seized approximately 20 motorcycles and ATVs. |
