BMW Hit and Run on Teenage Girl Walking with Mom on the Sidewalk
A teenage girl was seriously injured when she was mown down while walking along a pavement in Birmingham, UK. The 17-year-old was chatting with her mother along Bromsgrove Street after a shopping trip on January 28 when a car flung her to the ground before driving off. CCTV footage shows a dark BMW car emerge from a side street before wildly overturning, mounting the pavement and running the girl down. As her mother runs to help her the driver speeds off without stopping. The teenager was taken to hospital in a serious condition, where she is still recovering from her injuries. Police want to trace the BMW 5 series car involved in the hit-and-run and are appealing for anyone with information to call police on 101. Pc Mark Nicholson said: "A teenager suffered serious neck and head injuries and is still in shock from what happened. "I would urge anyone with information to call us and I want to appeal directly to the driver to do the right thing and come forward." |

This is in my neck of the woods. Hope they catch the cunt. On another note, why do the police leave it a month before releasing the video? Why not release it sooner when peoples memories are still fresh?  |

I often wondered about that myself but they do their own investigation first and hope for results as that's where they get paid for plus the fact they don't want to look incompetent and as last hope they ask the public for help. But in cases like this you should think they want to catch the perp asap so yea bit late imo also. |

Definitely. I watched this several times, thinking it could one of those "I hit the gas instead of the brake" idiots, but the steering seemed to precise for that. I hope she makes it and they catch the bastards who did this to her.  |
