A man died after attempting to rob a bar and getting into a confrontation with an off-duty military police officer who was at the establishment.

According to the Military Police of Paraná (PMPR), four armed men invaded the bar and announced the robbery. The suspects did not identify the military police officer and took him to a sort of storage or kitchen area on the premises. To defend himself against the suspects, the police officer fired his pistol at one of the armed men.

The individual fell to the ground and fired at the military police officer, hitting him in the abdomen, shoulder, and forearm. However, the criminal died almost immediately afterwards. The police officer sought medical attention and was taken to the Santa Casa de Londrina hospital. The officer's condition is stable. The other three robbery suspects fled the scene during the armed confrontation. According to witnesses, the men fled in a maroon Volkswagen Gol vehicle.

They weren't really robbing the place, they were salesmen trying to force them to sell bud light. The MP officer said "We ain't having any of that around here" & was forced to fire his weapon.
