Attempted Murder Charges for Guy Beating 2 People with a Crutch
November 19, 2008 SAN DIEGO -- A man is facing attempted murder charges today after allegedly beating two people with a crutch.

A San Diego Police ABLE helicopter caught the whole thing on video.

Police only released the video Tuesday, but the attack happened on Friday in Old Town on Pacific Highway and Rosecrans Street around 7 pm.

Witnesses said two men were fighting when a third man jumped in and starting attacking the other two with a crutch.

Police arrested 57-year old Clinton A. Tripp.

He is being held on suspicion of attempted murder.

Bail is set at $10,000.
