U.K. A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a car hit several pedestrians.

Bedfordshire Police were called to reports that a white Fiat 500 had hit pedestrians in Chapel Street, Luton, at about 03:30 BST.

Two men, both in their 30s, were taken to hospital where they remain with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The arrested man was also detained on suspicion of drink-driving and remains in police custody.
