Attempted Mugging Victim Takes Gun and Shoots Thief in Leg
A motorcyclist reacted to a robbery, took the gun of one of the thieves and shot the criminal in the thigh, in the Bom Retiro neighborhood, in São Paulo, this Sunday night. The suspect was conscious and taken to Santa Casa under police escort. He was indicted for attempted robbery. In the sequence, one of the criminals announces the robbery, searches the motorcyclist and climbs on the stolen bike. However, before fleeing, he knocks over the vehicle and his firearm. The victim then runs to get the gun. The bandit struggles with the motorcyclist to prevent him from taking the gun, but ends up shot in the leg. The accomplice escapes and a police car showed up to attend the incident. The police deemed it an obvious case of self-defence. |
