Attempted Armed Robber Caught on Tape Now Arrested

Police nabbed a suspect who attempted to rob a man at gunpoint near the intersection of Philip and Tchoupitoulas streets.
After receiving a Crimestopper's tip, a Sixth District Task Force unit arrested Donald Myles, 23, in the 2800 block of Chippewa Street.
He was booked with attempted armed robbery in the incident that occurred Nov. 24 about 8:45 p.m. in the 400 block of Philip Street.
In the video, the suspect pulls out a handgun on a man who surprisingly turns his back on the assailant and keeps walking.
"The victim, " according to police, ". . . advised the suspect that there were several surveillance cameras in the area."
The incident -- captured on private video cameras -- did not result in the "victim" being shot. But others are urged not to imitate such behavior, police said.
