ATF Agent Arrested by Columbus Police
On July 7, 2020, officers from the Columbus Police Department tased and arrested ATF Agent James Burk after he defied lawful orders intended to allow officers to safely identify him and prevent weapons incidents. Officers were responding to a 911 call complaining that Burk was non-uniformed and demanding entry to a residence claiming to be a Gov agent. At the time of his 2020 arrest, Burk had been with ATF for 16 years. James Burk was also arrested in 2015 for allegedly stealing $200 worth of wine from a Burk store in Landen, Ohio, in an incident caught on camera. In that case, Warren County Sheriff charged that Kroger used the self-checkout to pay $19 to purchase four bottles of wine priced at $222. |

Im on the side of the municipal police. ATF agent needed to make this really simple and provide his credentials. It is not rocket science to understand the suspicion local PD had about the situation.

Re: ATF Agent Arrested by Columbus Police
He had the Fed stick up his ass from the onset. I love how he pretended his wrists would not reach the handcuffs. One shot of the taser and he overlapped his wrists. And no, he was not fired. I read a report he was moved to admin duty at ATF shortly after this incident. |
