Now that's dumb to try to rob a pizzeria with all those knives and Italians all in one place. Guess the gun wasn't loaded.
HAGERSTOWN, MD - An armed robber is hospitalized after employees at a West Virginia pizzeria stabbed him several times.
Officials with the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department said it happened just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday at the Paesano's Pizza.
Investigators said 24-year-old Dwayne McGregor walked in the restaurant with a loaded handgun, demanded money and then hit one of the employees.
Another employee then grabbed a kitchen knife and fought the suspect, cutting him several times.
After McGregor fled the scene, without any money, deputies found him on the road with cuts on his back, leg and forehead.
Officials took McGregor to the hospital where he is being guarded. Deputies are also charging McGregor with armed robbery.
