ARIZONA: Cop Shoots DV Husband when He Grabs Shotgun - Suspect Dies

Dude surprises the Surprise police... then gets his own surprise.

SURPRISE, (March 10, 2024) — A man is dead after a shooting involving Surprise police early Sunday morning.

Surprise police say they were called to a home near Dysart Road and Waddell Road around 3 a.m.

“The initial report for that was called into 911, it was reporting a domestic violence incident. The details of that incident are still under investigation,” said Sgt. Rick Hernandez, a Surprise Police Department spokesperson.

“We can confirm at this time that the deceased subject was armed with a firearm. However, we are not disclosing what type of firearm that is at this time,” said Hernandez.

The firearm was later revealed to be a shotgun, according to Buckeye Police Department officials.

The officer fired his gun a short time later. The man, identified as Trinidad Ledesma, died at the scene.

good to see quick, decisive action taken by law enforcement here unlike that debacle last year with the black guy who was fighting eviction by the sheriff's department that killed a cop and his own mother with his assault rifle during a stand-off in his apartment
