An 85-year-old woman was injured during a strong arm robbery at the Lake Air Towers on Wednesday night, June 10 2009, in Waco.

Officers responded to the Lake Air Towers located at 4924 Cobbs around 8:40 p.m., after receiving reports that an elderly couple had been robbed.

At the scene, they met with the victim and her husband who told officers that they had just parked their car and were on their way into the building.

As they approached the door, the robber jumped out and grabbed the woman's purse.

The strap caught on the woman's arm and pulled her to the ground.

The suspect appeared to be in his 20's, wearing a stripped polo shirt, calf length blue jeans, black and white tennis shoes and dark ball cap.

The suspect was seen running toward Lake Highlands and get into a large dark blue car.

The victim went to Providence Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.
