Vietnam. Around 5:25 PM, the suspect, a 62 year old street vendor, hid near a market stall, waiting for the victim to walk past.
As the woman approached, the suspect rushed out and stabbed her three times in the chest and abdomen, causing her to collapse.

While the victim lay unconscious, the attacker grabbed a heavy iron pipe and repeatedly struck her. Onlookers stepped in to protect the woman, using plastic chairs and market carts to fend off the suspect until they successfully pinned him down.

The woman, Đ.T.A, 60, sustained severe multiple injuries, including at least ten deep wounds to her chest and abdomen, liver damage, broken teeth, and severed tendons in her hand. Emergency responders rushed her to General Hospital, where surgeons successfully stabilized her condition during an emergency operation.

According to statements from the victim's daughter, the attack stemmed from a minor neighborhood dispute. Two days prior, water from the victim's flower garden accidentally flooded the gate of the suspect's home.

The suspect had called the local police at the time, and authorities believe this lingering grievance triggered the retailatory attack. The Ho Chi Minh City police are continuing their criminal investigation to finalize the charges.

As soon as people stepped in (finally) to help, that guy should have been eating concrete. They should have put him in a hospital. Thankfully the victim was stabilized at the hospital.

My guess is that China has some harsh penalties for these kinds of assaults. Hard labor for this one.
