3 Thugs Attack 78 Year Old Man Stealing His Car and Cell Phone
Three suspects have been arrested after violently attacking a 78-year-old man outside a Mexican restaurant at Eastern Avenue and Fremont Street, according to LVMPD. Authorities say they are looking for three people who "savagely attacked" a 78-year-old man Tuesday, stealing his car and cell phone. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said in a press conference the attack was reported at the 2500 block of E. Fremont Street, near Eastern Avenue and Charleston Boulevard. The victim left his car to have dinner at a Mexican restaurant called El Austente and was immediately attacked by three men, police say. On the restaurant's surveillance, they can be seen beating him and stealing his car and cell phone. The victim is still at the hospital with substantial injuries, Captain Laz Chavez said. LVMPD says the 78-year-old suffered fractures around his eyes. "This man provided no resistance, and yet the suspects savagely beat him and took his car keys and cell phone. Even after they retrieved all of that, they went back and beat him some more, " said Capt. Chavez. Police have witnesses who believe the three men responsible live in the area of the attack. One restaurant worker, who remains unidentified for fear of retribution, says that she and two other workers scared the suspects off. "I yelled at them. They ran because they hit the man. They went into the car and left," the restaurant worker said. The stolen car, later recovered abandoned in the northwest valley, is a 2001 gold Ford Taurus with Nevada license 546 D81. |

Those kids need a paper route. They are going to try and  rob an old Vegas gangster and end up with toxic lead poisoning.

As a result of the extensive investigation, four juveniles have been identified and taken into custody for their involvement in the series of carjackings. Detectives are looking for two additional suspects involved in these incidents. One of the suspects sought can be viewed in the video released yesterday. He is the black male wearing a white t-shirt, gray pants and carrying a black back pack. The four juveniles in custody are facing charges that include multiple counts of Grand Larceny Auto, Robbery victim over 60, Possession of Stolen Vehicle, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Battery with Intent to Commit Robbery, Battery with Substantial Bodily Harm and Obstructing a Public Officer. |
