3 teenage boys igniting a bag of charcoal inside of a North Lauderdale supermarket
Three teenage boys accused of igniting a bag of charcoal inside of a North Lauderdale supermarket last week were arrested early Friday morning. Who turned them in? Their mothers. Surveillance video captured the boys -- ages 12, 13 and 14 -- torching the bag last week at a Sedano's, 7200 Southgate Blvd. The Broward Sheriff's Office released the video to the media, in hopes someone would recognize the teens. After the Thursday night news, detectives received a call from a woman who said her son was one of the boys in the video. Soon after, she took her son to BSO's North Lauderdale district office and turned him in. Another mother also turned in her son after seeing the video. Detectives were led to the home of the third boy, who was also arrested. The boys, whose names are being withheld because they are juveniles, are at the Juvenile Assessment Center in Fort Lauderdale. The incident happened at 4 p.m. June 12. The boys were seen walking down aisle 13 -- where matches, lighter fluid and charcoal is stacked on shelves. They squirted lighter fluid into a bag of charcoal, lit it with a match and placed the bag at the bottom of a pile of other bags on the shelf. Smoke filled the aisle, but an employee was able to extinguish the blaze before it spread. There were no injuries. The boys could face first-degree arson charges. They will likely be refered to the Broward Juvenile Firesetter program. |

They should have some sort of xbox assistance program for the low-income families to keep little fucks like these off the streets and in their bedrooms, they can still shit talk, be with their friends, and do violent destructive things, just not in a way that affects anyone else
