2023 Ft Worth Police Arrest of Antifa Assaulter

Well done Ft Worth police.

The main assailant initiated bodily injury assaults while carrying a firearm, and the assailant arranged armed bodyguards as well. I would have liked to see his charges scaled up to an aggravated assault.

The assault scenario left the victims utterly defenseless. If any of the victims stood their ground and tried to subdue the assailant, he or his guards may have shot the victims. I think stronger charges were in order.

I also think his armed bodyguards should have been arrested as well for abetting a felony and aggravating the crime as described above.

Re: 2023 Ft Worth Police Arrest of Antifa Assaulter

The protesters included members of Protect Texas Kids, a nonprofit that works to safeguard minors from the “toxic, indoctrinating agenda of the left.” The drag show event hosted by Fort Brewery and Pizza had been billed as “family-friendly.”

As The Dallas Express reported, the Antifa militants involved in the altercation were said to be affiliated with the Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club (EFJBGC), a DFW Antifa branch that has repeatedly shown up to protest events heavily armed.

On the day in question, the suspected EFJBGC members were dressed in all-black clothing and donned tactical vests and helmets. Some can be seen in the video footage carrying rifles while counter-protesting outside of the drag show.

20-year-old Samuel Fowlkes can be allegedly seen approaching Protect Texas Kids protesters and discharging pepper spray at them. When Fort Worth police officers responded to the scene shortly afterward, Fowlkes allegedly attempted to evade them, hiding behind other apparent Antifa militants.

As officers moved in to apprehend Fowlkes, he seemingly began swinging his arms and resisting commands.

Another alleged Antifa militant, 33-year-old Christopher Guillott, then seemed to have struck an officer in the face with an umbrella.

As the two men were being placed under arrest, 37-year-old Meghan Grant, also an apparent Antifa member, allegedly began screaming and pushing through the police to get near the two suspects. She was also taken into custody.

Fort Worth police released a statement after the incident clarifying their respect for the right to peacefully protest but highlighting their obligation to maintain public order.

“The Fort Worth Police Department respects everyone’s constitutional rights to free speech and assembly,” explained police officials in the statement. “Our main goal during any protest event is to provide a safe environment that respects all participants’ constitutional rights while effectively maintaining public peace and order. However, those who choose to violate the law and assault others will be arrested.”

Now, all three suspected Antifa militants have been indicted by the Tarrant County District Attorney.

Samuel Fowlkes has been charged with assault of a peace officer and assault causing bodily injury.

Christopher Guillott has been charged with assault of a peace officer and interference with public duties.

Meghan Grant has been charged with resisting arrest, search, or transportation.

Re: 2023 Ft Worth Police Arrest of Antifa Assaulter

A Texas jury has convicted a violent Dallas Antifa member over her role in an attack outside a children's drag event in Fort Worth in April 2023.

Meghan Grant, 39 (b. June 13, 1985), of Dallas, was found guilty by a jury on Wednesday of resisting arrest and interfering with public duties following a three-day criminal trial in Tarrant County, Texas.

The judge sentenced Grant to one-year probation and a 180-day suspended jail sentence over the two misdemeanor charges.

The conviction stems from an organized attack carried out by the anarchist group against protesters praying outside an all-ages "family-friendly" drag show at Fort Brewery and Pizza on April 23, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Grant, who identifies as trans nonbinary, is a member of the terror-linked Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club, an Antifa militia whose members are frequently heavily armed at riots and protests.

Grant arrived at the direct action organized by the EFJBGC, reportedly ready to kill.

She was armed with a Smith & Wesson 9 mm handgun with a mounted Crimson Trace red dot sight when her militant group, decked out in tactical gear, helmets, and concealing their identities behind black bloc attire, launched an unprovoked attack on peaceful Christian protesters.

The anarchists rushed in to pepper spray the protesters who had been quietly praying outside the restaurant, court documents allege.

Christopher Guillott, 34, of Denton County, was charged with assault on a peace officer and interfering with public duties. Guillott was acquitted on all charges in August following a jury trial.

Samuel Fowlkes, 21, of Parker County, was charged with assault on a peace officer, four counts of assault causing bodily injury, evading arrest/detention, and resisting arrest. He has an upcoming trial in Tarrant County.

Re: 2023 Ft Worth Police Arrest of Antifa Assaulter

Jan 2025. A years-long lawsuit is shedding light on ANTIFA’s operations in Dallas, exposing the groups substantial local presence, reliance on the dark web, and its financial networks.

The court filings focus on two prominent figures: Christopher Guillott and Meghan Grant. Guillott is alleged to be a leading figure in the North Texas ANTIFA network, while Grant has emerged as a key operative with ties to the Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club (JBGC), a group linked to ANTIFA activities.

The lawsuit stems from a clash during a protest at a drag show marketed to children in April 2023. It highlights encrypted communication tactics, undisclosed evidence, and financial dealings, offering a rare glimpse into the group’s operations.

Grant was convicted in September for her role in an organized, violent attack on peaceful protesters outside a children’s drag show in Fort Worth. She is described as a central member of the JBGC.

Meanwhile, Guillott was found not guilty of assaulting a police officer, following a controversial prosecution by a rookie attorney assigned to the case.

A third alleged assailant, Samuel Fowlkes, who committed the assault on video, has had his criminal trial postponed.

Court documents reveal that Grant and Guillott relied on encrypted messaging through Signal, utilizing multiple devices and phone numbers.

Investigators uncovered a secondary phone used exclusively for Signal communications, while another device underwent forensic examination.

The timing of these communications suggests deliberate efforts to obscure exchanges with JBGC members.

In addition to Signal, the pair reportedly coordinated via Discord. Messages reveal logistical challenges, including data transfer and communication with other JBGC members.

Guillott is identified as the owner of the Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club’s social media accounts, further linking him to the group’s online presence.

Forensic analysis indicates incomplete production of discovery materials, raising concerns that critical evidence may have been withheld.

The review also uncovered decentralized fundraising efforts for legal defense, with payments processed through platforms like Venmo, CashApp, and PayPal.

Contributions included significant donations from the International Anti-Fascist Defense Fund and a European artist with ties to ANTIFA, who reportedly contributed several thousand dollars.

Although the financial transactions involved modest sums, the decentralized and anonymous nature of the funding raises broader questions about the group’s resources and financial strategies.

Since the lawsuit was filed last year, ANTIFA-aligned activities in Dallas have markedly decreased, with the group reportedly going nearly dormant compared to previous years.

This case offers significant insight into the methods, funding, and coordination of ANTIFA-related groups in North Texas.

As public records continue to be disclosed, further details about their organizational structure and strategies may emerge.

Irmela Mensah-Schramm, 79, a German artist, is known for her long-standing and active role in anti-fascist activism.

For over three decades, she has been painting over and defacing neo-Nazi and anti-refugee graffiti, and other far-right propaganda in public spaces.

Her work is a form of direct action against fascist ideologies and is part of a broader history of anti-fascism in Germany.
