Yep, I love rodents, they make the sweetest pets! I'd swear they're more intelligent than my dogs sometimes!
My rat Harry found out how to open our screen door and make a run for it to eat the dog's food.
Another one, Baldy, as you can guess, a hairless rat, was a big baby, always wanted to be carried around on his back or wanted to sit on my shoulder.

Rats are great little pets. Largest one I had was a wild-born brown rat that was found in a nest after our cat killed the mother and most of the babies. Turned into a very healthy, friendly fellow who ended up weighing a rather impressive 1.5 lbs.

Rats are a kick. I would put my rattie Dominic in the pocket of my hoodie, or on the back of my neck under my hair, and ride the bus and go shopping. Some people would freak when they saw his tail or his nose sticking out!

I have a couple hundred rats that I breed for snake and monitor food. My wife has a few hairless rats as pets. They are acutally pretty cool little critters. But I prefer to feed them to my animals.
