the vocals in the music is arabic; whether they are muslims or not i suppose is arguable, but i'd say there is a 95% chance they are. for all we know, the "rejection" could all be part of some traditional tribal wedding theatrics, in which the bride in ceremony at first feigns scorn, then later in the ceremony "warms up" to the groom and accepts his love, or some similar shite. it does look a bit staged, but i'll wager it is islamic in one form or another, probably north african.

I don't know much about Islam but given the way they're dressed, it looks like they're in a moderate country. I imagine if the women really didn't like the guy, she could probably go against the parent's wishes and divorce or separate.
