Hm... Ok, this is probably being discussed elsewhere on this site, but I'll just toss this out here. If things are going to turn out to be AI, in presumably ever greater amounts, it feels like 'this isn't fun anymore' and I, at least, will probably be less likely to spend the time and commentry here that I currently do. This site is Documenting Reality, not Automated Idiocy: while the existence of AI imagery is certainly 'part of reality', we can all go plenty of other places to be fooled by the finest in AI, slop or not. AI output is, I think, critically different somehow from a conventionally staged or even doctored video, which I believe there are plenty of on this site. I suggest that AI fare either be banned from DR (likely not practical), or must be labelled as such up front, or maybe given its very own category. While we (maybe) still can. Just my .02, adjust for inflation. |
