Re: Throwing a Cigarette Out of a Car Causes $17,000 Explosion Damage
How does that happen outside? In an enclosed area, yes... but outside? Must have been a massive leak |

Re: Throwing a Cigarette Out of a Car Causes $17,000 Explosion Damage
The two were not connected. A cig would not ignite the gas unless there was a strong injection of oxygen, causing flashpoint. Putting a cig in petrol also, does nothing. Also, the cig was put out of the right hand side of the car, (Driver's side) but the explosion was to the left of the car. Load of knackers.

Re: Throwing a Cigarette Out of a Car Causes $17,000 Explosion Damage
I don't see how this is possible unless, UNLESS there was a very specific breeze blowing from the trailer to the car with a very precise laminar flow that would conduct a stream of gas to where the cigarette was, but it would have to be one hell of hot-burning cigarette... it just sounds fishy to me.
