hover is supposed to be flying above something. that is not what those do. Back to the future hoverboard is the correct one. im betting what causes those fires are the batteries and motor overheat. those gadget's motors sucks up a lot of amps from the source and the load resistance must be very low that it can almost be read as shorted in a multitester device.

Great points but I'd like to add that the weight of the person also contributes to stress on the drive and electrical system. Too much weight = higher friction on the motors = overheating condition. ![]() Quote:
