Sign on Garden State Parkway Changed to 'Clark Griswold' From Clark/Westfield
By Oren Yaniv New York Daily News December 26, 2014 A prankster or pranksters, lampooned an exit sign on the Garden State Parkway, playing a, “Christmas Vacation,” joke that brought some cheer to holiday drivers. The exit sign for Clark/Westfield was altered to read, “Clark Griswold” — the name of Chevy Chase’s Christmas obsessed lead character in the beloved 1989 holiday classic, “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.” New Jersey State Police spokesman, Sgt. Gregory Williams, confirmed that the pictures were not Photoshopped and that the taped on, “Griswold,” label had to be removed from the sign at exit 135 by the Turnpike Authority, according to NJ.com. “We are aware it’s floating around the Internet,” Williams said of the pictures.
