A seagull was caught on camera flying through an open kitchen window and scoffing an entire tuna salad prepared for lunch.
The greedy gull brazenly landed on the kitchen worktop and promptly helped itself to the fish, lettuce and cheese.
It then started on a second plate of haddock and chips before attempting to fly back out the window - but instead it careered into the window before finally escaping.
Amazingly, both plates of food had been laced with large amounts of black pepper as part of a prank which Conlett White was playing on housemate Richard Hammond.
He set up a cam to capture Richard's reaction - but instead caught the thieving seagull, which appeared unfazed by the spicy dish.
The two friends, who share a flat in Hove, East Sussex, have now nicknamed the super-tough bird 'Steven Seagull' after action-film actor Steven Seagal.
