Unfortunately when up rent from an owner they can legally have access to the house or an apartment with a spare key. Legally they have to give you a notice of inspection but most of them don't. I went through this shit with my last landlord and she even went through my mail, and shit in my house would be moved. I knew what she was going. She wanted to find dirt on everyone so she can blackmail them.
