i think ist smart to have the road if your brakes fail you still have the option to go uphill and slow down. its way better than crashing into a ravine a mile down the road.

as fun and ramp like as those look...they are in reality a very large sand pit...getting more than about 1/4 the way down that thing is impossible.

Though that one certainly looks less robust than some I have seen.
