Real Madrid Supporter Climbs Stone Monument in Palma De Mallorca
A football fan fell 14ft after scaling an obelisk “like Spider-Man” before losing his grip and crashing to the ground. The Real Madrid fan climbed the tower in a moment of euphoria after his team’s Champions League victory on Saturday. But his impressive feat turned to horror as onlookers watched him plunge from the stone monument in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The jubilant fan is shown shuffling up the tower after his team’s 4-1 victory against Juventus in Cardiff. But he loses his footing and crashes at least 14ft on to the stone steps below, bouncing off the base and smashing his back and legs. The shocking incident happened in the Plaza de las Tortugas at dawn following a night of celebrations. The nationality of the man has not been released but he is understood to be a Real Madrid supporter. Emergency medics rushed to the scene and treated the fan who is believed to have suffered spinal and head injuries. He was then rushed to the Son Espases hospital on the island where he remains. His condition has not been revealed. |

Re: Real Madrid Supporter Climbs Stone Monument in Palma De Mallorca
How do you explain to people that you seriously hurt yourself falling from something, you climbed because why? A team beat another team...blah blah... I guess that's why I don't watch any sports. I just don't get that excited about sports. |
