Watch: Queen's Guard turns rifle on a tourist at Windsor Castle

A video showing the dramatic moment a soldier from the Queen's Guard turned his rifle on a tourist outside Windsor Castle has emerged online

This is the moment a soldier from the Queen's Guard turned his rifle on a terrified tourist after being touched on the shoulder while on duty.
The young male tourist was filmed marching alongside the guard before boldly daring to rest his hand on the soldier's shoulder..
Moments later, the soldier suddenly points his bayonet-tipped rifle directly at the man, shouting: "Get back from the Queen's Guard".
The Queen's Guard then places his gun back into the upright position and continues his patrol.

A video of the incident entitled "Why you don't harass the Queen's Guard" shows the terrified tourist jumping back before running away.
The video, which was posted on YouTube earlier this week, has been viewed more than 30,000 times.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence told the Daily Record the soldier had an "appropriate reaction" to the tourist's behaviour and would not be disciplined.
The spokesperson added: "Since that incident, a rope has now been installed at that sentry position that keeps tourists away and stops people approaching the card.
They added: "It is disappointing that a member of the public has shows such disrespect towards the Queen's Guard.
"The soldier is there to protect the Queen, himself and the sentry position. He reacts appropriately."

The Queen's Guard are charged with guarding the country's Royal residences, including St James's Palace and Windsor Castle.
The soldiers are known for their distinctive uniforms of red tunics and bearskins hats.
There are thought to be guidelines in place for guardsmen to deal with nuisances, which begins with stamping their feet and shouting.

The YouTube user who uploaded the video wrote in the description: "What a stupid jerk."
It follows a video which emerged online earlier this month showing a tourist being barged out of the way by marching Queen's Guards.
Last year, drama also unfolded outside Buckingham Palace when a Queen's Guard pointed his rifle at a member of the public who had ranted at the police.

good show of reservation by the guard though...if that was new york that slope would've had 70 bullets in him
