Police Chases Go-kart Through the Streets
A man was arrested by the Military Police (PM) after a go-kart chase through the streets on Friday night (8). According to the PM, the chase lasted about 20 minutes and ended with the suspect leaving the vehicle and trying to escape on foot. A security camera registered the kart passing a city street and then the MP car. The 30-year-old suspect was taken to the police station and charged in flagrante for drunken driving and dangerous driving. The two infractions are very serious and, in addition, the fines amount to R $ 5.8 thousand and 14 points in the driver's license, which in the case was already suspended. According to the sheriff's office, no bail was established, and the driver was still in custody this morning (9). The occurrence was recorded at about 8:00 pm, after the go-kart passed by a PM car, which carried out rounds of the Bom Pastor Garden in the northern part of the city. According to the PM, the officers gave orders to stop the driver, who fled at high speed and against the streets of the neighborhood. The persecution ended in the Universal Garden, also in the north. |
