Public perception, due to media(propaganda) only displaying the violent cases of badly raised pitbulls are that these dogs are dangerous to kids and rightfully banned.
Clearly a competent owner is needed to raise these dogs correctly rather than banning them and destroying literally thousands of dogs across the country and legislation should be drafted that mandates all pitbull owners show their competence. Would be far more effective and civil than outright banning them.
