So apparently the dude was from Stockton CA (45-50 minutes from where I live) and suffered a twisted spinal column amongst numerous other injuries that eventually led to his death.

I'm not sure it's the same guy. Found the article of the stockton man, and yes, he did eventually die from his injuries, but I couldn't find video to correlate it with what we see here. The article mentioned something about him attempting a backflip. The guy here in the vid just seemed to attempt a normal legs first jump.
