LOL! Having succumbed to curiosity and trying this abomination for myself, I can say with authority that these guys are not exaggerating this stuff at all. Try it if you don't believe me. Actually eating this stuff, no matter how it's served, is a test of willpower. If anyone cares, I might be able to dig up the video of my first attempt at surströmming. How come those things even got to canning if no one can eat them? i mean do the swedes really stock them in their grocery cabinet for regular consumption?
